  • Thank you to all who helped with the Wreath clean up at Woodlawn and All who came to the Holiday party – Thanks again Debbi
  • Demo Truck days March 15 th and 16 th
  • Please bring any Harley Davidson merchandise that you want to donate to the H-DOG swap meet on April 5 th at 11:00 am. Canopy will be set up and funds collected go to our general fund.
  • Chili Cook Off February 15 th 12:00 – 2:00 pm
  • Terry explained the poker hand (chip that you pull from bag at meetings)
  • Just a reminder – No personal information can be given out by those that have access in the web site.

Please try to attend and support the pancake breakfast on January 25th at the dealership. Purpose is to try to attract new membership.  Quaker Steak will cook and we need to serve

If you have Harley Davidson merchandise that you need to get ride of, we are planning a fund raiser on April 5th during H-DOG swap meet.  We will set up the canopy and funds collected will go in our general fund. No helmets!

-Business:

- Welcomed new member, Ethan Henderson who rides a 2023 Nightstar and his grandfathers '04 softail.

1.  Board nominations are complete for 2025.  Ronni Whyte will be the incoming Assistant Director; Bob Langley will remain Treasurer, Pam Jefferson will remain Secretary, and Mike Nelson will remain Head Road Captain.

2.  Wreaths Across America - Goal is 2000 wreaths and 1006 have been purchased so far.  Cost is $17/one; $85/5; $204/12.  Buy 2 get a third.  Fox Carolina will provide service announcements.  Ways to order wreaths directly are on the HOG Facebook page, GreenvilleHOG.net, Rick Wynn Facebook page, Mike Nelson Facebook page, and Terry Torbett Facebook page.  Please purchase by December 3 at 11:59 pm. 

The Wreaths Across America Trailer Exhibit will be at the dealership on Sunday, November 10.

3.  Policy on Speaking to the Chapter at Meetings:  You are welcome to request to speak during a meeting if it pertains to Chapter Matters.  If it is outside of Chapter Matters, please make a request to the Director at least a week in advance.  Outside Chapter matters have to be vetted and approved / denied through our sponsor manager, Chesley.

5.  Thanks to everyone that supported the Breast Cancer Ride.  Toy Run Ride is November 17 at Heritage Park.  Volunteers from HOG Group and Greenville County Foster Parents group will be at the park and at the dealership - all are welcome to help!  Volunteers are also needed to help unload at the storage site off of S. Pleasantburg drive following the collection.  Debbi to resend wish list from the GCFPA.  

6.  Holiday Party is January 11 at City Range @ The Haywood.  $45 per person - maximum 80 guests - 10 tickets left as of the meeting.  December meeting will be the last chance to purchase tickets if available.

7.  Ray Oleyourryk requested support of Chimney Rock. Spokes of Hope is the nonprofit organizing and providing disaster relief.  You can contact them by going to SpokesOfHope.com or calling Connie Humenik at 330-550-3639.  Will be put on the calendar.  Terry to send an email about volunteering for it.

8.  Birthdays:  Rick Wynn, Larry Stinson    Anniversaries:  Mike Barrow's divorce

9. Kin Britton, Asst. Director:  Sturgis 2026 plans have started and if anyone wants to stay at Custer State Park, they will begin taking reservations 1/1/2025 and will go quickly.  The thought is to travel to Sturgis the week prior and have the opening weekend be the final weekend of the trip.  Trying to avoid so much traffic, etc. during the rides.  More to come on this.

Patriot Tour email to Terry was confusing giving 2 different dates.  He will confirm.

10.  Mike Nelson, Head Road Captain:  Thanked those that contributed and participated in the Asheville Hurricane fund effort and delivery to the HOG of Asheville Chapter.

- Get mileage checked for end of year check in

14.  Other:  For 2025 membership dues, Mike Parks would like to get checks in advance and have them dated January 1, 2025.  $20 per person for membership.  Can get them to him at the next chapter meeting.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Thanks to all who participated in the Rumble ride to SC school for the deaf and blind, also those who participated in Demo Days. Officer’s nominations, one is treasurer for two-year term and the Head Road Captain is coming up annually. Susan Coviack Greenville Foster Parents presented two plaques, one to 4800 and the other to the Dealership thanking them for all their hard work supporting Greenville Foster Parents.

-Kin Britton (Assistant Director) Colorado Trip coming up, Sturgis Trip 2025 Chapter Event, missed out on cabins, planning Sturgis 2026 trip.  Custard and Deadwood.

Mike Nelson (Head Road Captain) Rides are down due to the heat, August there is a Ride with Independence to Greenville please check the calendar for details.  Patriot tour we need riders. July Challenge winner is Pamela Jefferson.  This month’s challenge is you, your bike and a police officer.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Greenville HOG 4800 placed the 4th Wreaths Across America Supply for SC.  Thanks to several of the folks, Rick, Tony, Fox News, United Community Bank, H-Dog and all of you who purchased.  June 4th meeting H-DOG will action 4 tickets to the Savannah Bananas Game on July26th.

-Kin Britton (Assistant Director) ICE  (in case of emergency) should be in everyone’s profile, please take a minute to add or update your ICE person/people. 4800 picnic is June 29, 2024.  Don’t for get your check in’s and milage.

Mike Nelson (Head Road Captain) Winner of the April Challenge ride is Daniel Lobo.  This month is a picture in front of a National Forest Site.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Congrats to Randy Lowery on winning the ticket give away for Homecoming concert in Milwaukee in late July. Hogs and Dogs adoption is April 20th. Come out and adopt or bring two shelter items to be entered in $50/50 drawing. Reminder of Bike night set up, come out if you can.

-Kin Britton (Assistant Director) ICE  (in case of emergency) should be in everyone’s profile, please take a minute to add or update your ICE person/people. National HOG’s current road side assistance ends on 5/2024.  Towing still included in National membership.

-Pamela Jefferson (Secretary) Introduced the 3 new member that attend the meeting.

Mike Nelson (Head Road Captain) Last month winner of the challenge ride is Jay Bates, this month ride is a picture at a state boarder sign. No South Carolina signs.  Check the calendar often.  Menton trip coming up deadline 4/16.  Scott Pugh will lead a ride this Saturday, hills and twisty this is a Class B ride.  Tom Knott has an eclipse ride to Texas.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Thank you to chili cook off participants, congrats to Ronni and Cheseley. ROC is normally about growing the chapter and working to enhance dealer/chapter unity. Fortunately, we do not have this issue.  Big Thanks to H-DOG for your support. Bike nights are starting up Wednesday nights.

-Kin Britton (Assistant Director) 3 new members tonight. Reminder of the dealership check ins and check the calendar for upcoming rallies. H-DOG has ordered some new patches -various designs.

-Pamela Jefferson (Secretary) Introduced the 3 new member that attend the meeting.

Mike Nelson (Head Road Captain) Congratulations to Ray Oleyourryk for winning the key!!  Winner of last months challenge ride is Ronni Whyte.  This month’s challenge ride is to take a picture of a vehicle on a pole with you and your bike.  Reviewed classifications of chapter rides.

Chapter Meeting Minutes from February 6, 2024 Greenville HOG Monthly Meeting held at Local Cue at 7:00 pm.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Thank you for Wreaths Across America Participation, it was the fastest clean up. All the wreaths were picked up in 45 minutes.  This weekend is ROC training in Charlotte NC.  Don’t forget Rolling Daytona.

-Kin Britton (Assistant Director) 103 renewals so far.  3 new members tonight. Reminder of the dealership check ins and the chili cook off.

-Pamela Jefferson (Secretary) Pamela and David thanked the Chapter for all the support, prayers, texts, calls and meals that were received during her recovery.

Mike Nelson (Head Road Captain) Mike thanked Jeff  DiStefano.  Please check HOG Scan for upcoming rides along with the HOG calendar.  On the 17th is Fried pie ride with Tom Knott, if Tom is not able to attend Mike Nelson will lead.  Peach Blossom ride 3/2.  Winner of last months Challenge ride was Tom Knott.  February challenge ride is Whistle stop in Traveler’s Rest. Please be sure to have yourself, bike and train in the picture.

-Mike Coviak (Dealership) Mike presented an update on the new 2024 bikes received and 2023 deals.  Come down to see at the dealership.

-Mack McBride- Discussed Mentone trip and encouraged new members and riders to join the trip this year.

Chapter Meeting Minutes from January 2, 2024 Greenville HOG Monthly Meeting held at Local Cue at 7:00 pm.

-Terry Torbett (Director) Called the meeting to order

-Pledge to the Flag and Prayer – Tony Moncini

-Terry Torbett (Director) Thank you for Wreaths Across America Participation. Thank you to Rick Wynn, Tony Moncini, Fox Carolina News (Chris Scott), H-DOG, and McNauhton McKay.  Wreaths pick up is January 20th at 10:00 am at Woodland Cemetery, feel free to bring your truck or a ride will be leaving H-DOG at 9:30 am.  New points awards system for coming year, appears points will accumulate to the Harley app and should receive the monetary awards sooner.  More to come on this. ROC training is February 10, 2024 will obtain clarification then. Membership is open for 2024, please see Mike Parks - $20 if prior to February’s meeting then will increase to $24.  In 1973 Sprio Agnew resigned as VP or the US and Gerald Ford became VP and received no votes. Moral of this is I became the Assistant Director and then Director without receiving votes.  I feel like Ford.  July meeting will be the June picnic on June 30, 2024. Terry mentioned Pamela Jefferson will be joining us on Saturday.

-Debbi Thompson (Activities Director) Discussed logistics of the upcoming holiday party on Saturday.

-Ronni Whyte (Ladies of Harley) Next meeting is January 16, 2024 at Logan’s Restaurant in Greenville.  Ronni reiterated to be a member of LOH you must be a National Member and a Local HOG member to be considered a LOH member.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Terry gave a big thank you to Kim and Allen Vaughan for hosting Vaughdarosa.  Terry thanked everyone for the helmet purchases 37!!  Membership 183.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Terry discussed upcoming events, November 4th Military Appreciate Day, November 24 Black Friday at H-DOG, Toy Run for Foster Parents/Kids.  A group has purchased bicycles for the children, helmets are needed for these bikes if you are in need of an idea of what to purchase. -Kin Britton (Head Road Captain) Kin mentioned a big shout out to Bob Langley for his dedication along with other to put up the tent at Bike Night.  Please be careful this time of year with the days being shorter, the deer are out and about.  Sharon C. has a lunch ride o October 6, October 7th ride to No Where, Breast Cancer ride on October 16th, David Schultz will lead the ride to see the Scarecrows and Jessies ride on 10/28.  Winner of this months Challenge Ride is…Bob Langley.  October challenge is a picture with you and your bike with leaf peeping foliage.

--Mike Coviak (Greenville dealership) Mike spoke on behave of the Foster Parents; he encourages gifts for the teenagers.  Mike gave examples such as ear buds, journals, bathing products and gift cards.

-Chesley-John came to speak in Chesley absence, busy month at the dealership.  Please come by for the swap meet and the Fall Festival on October 14th.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Terry discussed the 4 levels of membership offered by HOG, brochures were handed out explaining in detail. No Rally’s in September but October 4th in Florida.

Kin Britton (Head Road Captain) Kin sent a huge thank you to everyone for their support with Project Hope.  Several events coming up, Tom Knott is going for fried pies on 9/16 along with a 50 HOG on 9/23. October 15 is Breast Cancer Awareness Ride, November is Toy Run.  Winner of last month challenge ride is Ronni Wyte. September challenge ride is Highway 11, Table Rock must have you and your bike in the picture.  Looking ahead for October Fall colors in the mountains. Robert Wendt spoke of the Mexican Hat story and gifted 3 keychains. “not always the destination, it’s the Journey.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Terry commented on the Patriot lunch and Laconia Ride. Reminder Rally check in in Milwaukee.   Thank you to Debbi and Kin for a great picnic at Table Rock.

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitors and members. Rick encouraged people to join the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 11, 2023, meet up at River St. and S. Main at 9:30 am.  Wear your best green.  Meyer Center Ride on March 18, 2023 meet up at Harley of Greenville at 9:00am.  Riders $15 and $10 passengers along with 50/50 raffle.  Food truck will be on site at Meyer Center.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Bike night is starting up, first band on March 22nd.  Support is needed for the HOG canopy, LOH new members are welcome.  H-DOG Spring Season Opener on March 25th, please sign up on the Hog Scan App.  Officers with be at ROC March 25 th in Charlotte NC.

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new members and visitors.  Happy New Year!!  Thank you to Robert Wendt for serving as Assistant Director for the last several years.  This years Poker hand goes to Matt Kantz-$250.  This year ROC training will be in Charlotte, NC on March 25, 2023. It’s a new year, please go to the dealership for your milage check in.  You can see Mike Coviak, Ashley Williams or anyone in service.

-Terry Torbett (Assistant Director) Thanked everyone for their support in entering his new role in the chapter. Reviewed some of the upcoming rides this year and encouraged people to attend the rallies.  Terry discusses the value of welcoming new members.

-Kin Britton (Head Road Captain) Kin discussed having a Road Captain’s meeting in the next few weeks.  Wreaths across America cleanup is January 14, 2023, meet up at Harley Davidson of Greenville at 9:00 am.  January Chapter Ride Challenge is to go to HD for your milage check and get a picture with Chesley, Mike or Shannon.

-Guest Speaker-Project Hope made a short video that was played showing the children that benefit from this fund raiser.  The children expressing thanks the best way they can, $25,000.00 was raised.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Reminded everyone to “Pink out” in October for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Fall is a beautiful time of year for riding, the weather has been nice.  Get out and ride, be safe the leaves are falling on the road.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) Please check the calendar, lots of rides are planned.  Tom Knott has three rides booked on 10/6, 10/15 & 10/30.  H-DOG Chili cook off on 10/8, 10/16 Breast Cancer Ride, Toy Ride on 11/13 at Heritage Park and Laconia 6/10/2023-6/18/2023. Winner of last month Challenge Ride was Pamela Jefferson. October’s Challenge ride is Visitors Overlook at the Bad Creek Hydro project.

-Debbi Necker Thompson (Activities Director) Reviewed the upcoming events, Breast Cancer Ride, Military Apprecaition Day 11/5 & Vaughnderosa 11/5, Toy Run on 11/13 at Heritage Park.  Suzan Lefler Coviak is looking for some volunteers for the Toy Run.

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitors and members. Rick announced that Robert Wendt will step down from Assistant Director. Nominations for replacement, Terry Torbett offered to step into position. Bob Langley will remain as Treasurer, Kin Britton as Road Captain and Tony Moncini as Safety Officer.  Points for the 1st quarter goes to Tom Knott and 2nd quarter is David Schultz.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Looked back at the years of friendship and rides over the last 5 years. Terry will be a great Assistant Director, ride safe.  Always..Ride to eat and eat to ride.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) Big Thank you to Terry, Rick, Tony and Bob for assistance with Project Hope and all the volunteers.  Please check the HOG calendar for rides and events.  Super Hero Ride is 9/11/2022, the weather is not looking good.  If ride is cancelled please bring toys to H-Dog so they can disperse them. Breast Cancer Ride has been moved to 10/23/2022. November 5, 2022 Military Appreciation Day. Thank you to David Jefferson for helping to put together the Laconia 100th 6/7/2023-6/17/2023. Last month’s challenge ride winner is Matt Kantz.  September Challenge Ride is Devils Court house on the Blue Ridge Parkway, you will get another entry if you make the hike up the trail and take a picture.

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitors and members. Wreaths Across America is coming up, explained the meaning and purpose.  Chapter goal this year is 1,000 wreaths.  Can access this on line, be sure to go under HOG 4800.  Buy two wreaths get one free or buy four wreaths and get six wreaths.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Big Thank you to everyone who joined last month at the Family Picnic at Table Rock.  Sent a shout out to the folks who were traveling to Sturgis – Be Safe.  Ride to eat and eat to ride…

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) Kin mentioned several people already left for Sturgis, those who leave tomorrow Be safe.  Rides to keep an eye for:  Laconia NH 2023, 6/7/2023-6/17/2023 100 year Anniversary. August 20th Project Hope, Myrtle Beach Fall Rally 9/26/2022, Great Smokey Mountain HOG Rally 9/27/2022, Breast Cancer Ride 10/9/2022 and Toy Ride 11/13/2022. -Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitors and members. Patriot tour 6/13/2022 Received the flag 12-12:30 at Greenville Harley Davidson.  June 14/2022 Tom Knott will lead the ride to pass the flag to Falcons Fury Harley Davidson in Georgia.  Plan on 3+ hours of backroads.  Tent is up at Bike night, please sign up to help out with setting up, taking down and encouraging folks to join our chapter.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Gave a shout out to the Ladies Ride, 30 riders!!  Men’s ride had 67 riders.  Keep on riding.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) commented on the great turn out on both rides and wanted to say

Thank you to David Jefferson for staying back with the rider and missing lunch.  Rusty Barnes ate David’s lunch. Kin encourages everyone to look at the calendar, lots of events including ride with Sharon Colin, Dyno Demo, HDOG micro wrestling, Project Hope, Super Hero Ride and breast cancer ride.  Laconia 2023.  June challenge ride:  Highest Point Blue Ridge Parkway.

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitors and members. Rick discussed increasing membership for the chapter, one way is a Membership Tent at bike night to promote HOG chapter.  Big thank you to Amanda at HDOG for new brochures, volunteers will be needed to man the tent.  A sign-up sheet will be available, setting up and breaking down need at least 4 people. Please continue to keep track of your miles, bring them to Chesley.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) encourages everyone get out there and ride!!  Be safe!!  Robert “Thanked everyone and appreciates all the help at Demo Days” it was excellent.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) Demo Days were great, big shout out to Sherri A., Frank Stockbridge and Adam James for their help.  Please see the calendar for upcoming events, HOG scan only shows up to 6 months of events. Kin discussed Laconia NH June 2023. Mentone in June.

Rick encouraged road milage

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) encouraged riding; the weather is getting better.  Be sure to record your miles as well, “ride to eat, eat to ride”.  Robert summarized his thoughts of this year’s ROC Meeting stating” he is very proud of our chapter and dealership”.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) discussed some upcoming events which included Harley Davidson blood drive, Demo Days 4/23 & 4/24.  Captain’s meeting on 4/12/2022, clip boards, forms and a new app for instant messaging called Band.  Please check your calendar!!  Big events 6/10 – 6/18/2023 100-year Rally in Laconia NH along with Milwaukee 100th.  This months Challenge ride: Harwell Dam Overlook.

-Bob Langley (Treasurer) showed new chapter 4800 patches that are available for $10, three different styles. Balance

-Chesley Campbell (Dealership) encourages everyone to check the calendar all types of events going on.  Chesley also stated that we “are the best chapter!!”.

Chapter meeting Minutes from March 1, 2022 Greenville HOG Monthly

Meeting held at Local Cue at 7:00 pm

-Rick Wynn (Director) called the meeting to order

-Pledge to the Flag and Prayer (Tony Moncini)

-Rick Wynn (Director) Welcomed new visitor and members. Smokey Mountain Harley group sent an email to Rick personally invite our chapter to join them for a ride in September at the Great Smokey Mountain Rally 2022.  Rick discussed also joining other chapters for rides. Rick discussed purchasing Road Captain Patches for our chapter Road Captains as a “Thank you”.  ROC training is 3/26 in Charlotte NC, Rick, Robert, Bob, Kin and Pamela will be leaving Friday 3/25 to attend.  Rick is also ready to order name tags, please contact him if you need one.

-Kin Britton (Road Captain) spoke of orange vests for Road Captains, it’s positive for the rides along with be visible. Kin announced a few events this month one being Hair Ball in Georgia, Mike Nelsons ride and Daytona.  April is busy with Blessing of the bikes, Tom Knott Brunch ride, Julie Valentine Ride, Open House Demo Days and Thunder in the Smokey’s.  Please see the Website for details and times.  This months Challenge Ride is Poinsett Bridge.  February’s winner for the Challenge Ride was Mike Dahlheim!

-Bob Langley (Treasurer) Chapter Taxes are done, Bogg Financial $275.00, Federal Tax $27, State Tax $57 leaving a balance of $4077.71. Bob had two examples of chapter patches and encourage people to come up and let him know which one they preferred.

Chapter Meeting Minutes from February 1, 2022 Greenville HOG Monthly Meeting Held at Local Cue at 7:00 pm.

-Rick Wynn (Director) called the meeting to order

-Prayer, Pledge to the Flag

-Rick Wynn (Director) Scholarship Fund deadline is 5/16/2022, please take advantage of this

opportunity.  ROC Training is 3/26/2022 in Charlotte North Carolina for Chapter Officers. Welcome new members Rocky and Amanda.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Robert spoke of another great year for riding and encourage everyone to get out there and ride safely.

-Kin Britton (Head Road Captain) Kin reviewed some tips for new Road Captains which included sharing a map or destination with others in the group gets separated, watch your spacing and stagger appropriately. Kin also mentioned leaving “bread crumbs” in case of separation and to be cautious at four way stops when riding in a large group.  Do not try to get the whole group through at once. Please check the website for events, the App is only a 60 day look at upcoming events. Kin reviewed some upcoming events: 2/5 HDOG New Model, need representation from 11-3:00pm. 3/10-3/13 Daytona Run, 6/10-6/12 Mentone, 4/23-4/24 Demo Truck, Family Fun Picnic is planed for 7/10 at Table Rock State Park and Sturgis 8/3-8/11. Rod Gomez is the winner of last Month’s Challenge Ride, this month’s Challenge Ride is Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site.

Bob Langley (Treasurer) Current balance $2,988.71, received deposit of $600.00 from Christmas Party which brings total to $3,588.71. Bob proposed a new patch for the chapter which shows SC4800 in a few different styles. One has a flag with it, the other is just the state and chapter number.  Bob will order a few to show at the next meeting.

-Rick Wynn announced the winner of the Poker Coin was David Jefferson $200 gift card, 4th quarter challenge ride winner Pamela Jefferson $100 gift card and monthly challenge ride Mike Nelson $100 gift card. National HOG Chapter send HOG water bottles and bandanas.

-Robert Wendt (Assistant Director) Reviewed some of the highlights of 2021 and encouraged everyone to get out and RIDE!

-Kin Britton (Head Road Captain) Reviewed rules of Road Captains, be sure to carry release forms, accident forms, be sure to use “bread crumbs” when riding in a group and no alcohol till ride is called. Kin mentioned some rides that are planned: Hairball Concert in Georgia on 3/5, Daytona 3/10-3/13, Demo Days 4/23 & 4/24, Mentone June 2022.  Please check website for details. Wreathes across America cemetery clean-up is 1/15/2022.  Last month’s challenge ride winner is Mel Kantz, next month’s challenge is Kings Mountain State Park.
