August Challenge Ride-Looking Glass Falls

The August Challenge Ride location is Looking Glass Falls on Hwy 276 in the Pisgah National Forest....it is about 6 miles from the intersection of Hwy's 64 & 276 near Brevard.  With this location it may not be possible to get bike in picture, just get a picture of you with falls in background from the observation platform.  Send to me at [email protected] or 864-612-6602.  

There mutiple routes to the location from the Upstate to include Hwy 178 out of Pickens and Hwy 276 through Caesar's Head.  One other option with less twisties is as follows:

Direction to Looking Glass Falls without going over the Caesars Head Twisties:

SC/NC 25 north to Exit 3 in NC. Marathon Gas Station with Roscoe’s Diner and Gas on the right as you exit. 

Exit 3 is Green River Road. Go west (left). It turns into (continue on) Reasonover Road, which T’s out at Cascade Lake Road in Cedar Mountain, NC. This section takes 36 minutes. 

Turn Left onto Cascade Lake Rd and then a quick Right onto Greenville Highway (276). 

Turn right onto Hwy 64/276/Broad St in Brevard to stay on Hwy 276. This section takes 33 minutes. 

After 3.4 miles turn left onto Hwy 276 and the Falls will be about 6 miles on your right.

Parking during peak hours is challenging.
